During this time
leadership responsibilities have included: as Project Director, the
overall responsibility to administer the Region XI Disabilities Quality
Improvement Center which provides services for Head Start and Early Head
Start children with disabilities, and as Senior Manager, the overall
responsibility to restructure and create Three Feathers Associates
Management Consultant Service, to manage the development and
implementation of consultant contracts, to develop protocols and policies
and procedures for the effective management of the Management Consultant
Service and to design Head Start training programs.
For the past 22 years carried overall responsibility for all grants and
contracts administered by TFA and served as the Director of Projects for
all grants, contracts and cooperative agreements operated by TFA.
Programs which were administered included: Victims of Crime in Indian
Country, Child Sexual Abuse/Incest, Child Protective Services, Family
Court Services within a Court of Indian Offenses, National Indian Adoption
Resource Center, Family Violence/Community Awareness, Community Awareness
and Child Abuse and Neglect, Indian Child Welfare Act Research Project and
a general Indian Child Welfare Training Project. Other projects were:
Indian Technical Assistance Support Center and Resource Access Project for
all Indian Head Start programs, Training and Technical Assistance Project
for Indian Elders, Developmental Disabilities Research Project and Native
American Veterans Access Project.
Additional activities
have included: Member of NICHCY Advisory Board, National Board of
Family Based Services, National Board of People of Color Institute on
Child Abuse and Neglect, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s
Native American Task Force on Children with Disabilities, Board of
Directors of Council of Social Work Education, American Professional
Society on the Abuse of Children.
